A DUMBO, Brooklyn café needed a brand with as much personality as its sandwiches. I built the identity around “the toastie,” a mascot hiding in plain sight: the ampersand doubles as jam on the bread. Industrial type nods to the café’s warehouse home, and the system carries across logo, packaging and signage. It was built to travel, and it did: Bread & Spread grew to a second location.
